The Second Doctor was a version of the Doctor who existed in multiple universes. He often played a recorder.
When Wednesday Addams entered the Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS in one universe, she had psychic visions of some his other selves, including a “man with a recorder” (PROSE: Wednesday and the Doctor)

When musing on Jenny Anywhere, Jeanne Morningstar compared the original Jenny Everywhere to the Second Doctor and their conception of Anywhere to the Ninth.
