Wednesday Addams (Wednesday and the Weeping Angel)

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

In one universe, a version of Wednesday Addams who had oracular abilities and attended Nevermore Academy had encounters with the Doctor and Jenny Everywhere, who both gave her glimpses of her various counterparts' lives.

Description

Physical appearance

As a student of Nevermore Academy, Wednesday wore the typical school uniform. She carried an umbrella. (PROSE: Wednesday and the Weeping Angel)

Personality

Wednesday was unshakably calm and stoic, and rarely blinked. She “liked to take long walks when she was not dealing with homework, teenage angst or attempts on her life”. She disliked being placed in situations that outstripped her understanding, though she responded to such situations with more annoyance than fear. She normally “enjoyed pain”, but “only when [she] kn[e]w where it was coming from”. (PROSE: Wednesday and the Weeping Angel)

Powers & abilities

This version of Wednesday had psychic visions “from time to time”, though she had no control over them. Possibly as a result of her psychic talents, she proved immune to psychic paper. (PROSE: Wednesday and the Doctor)

Biography

As a teenager, Wednesday began attending Nevermore Academy, soon getting involved with the secret group known as the Nightshades. Early in her studies at Nevermore, she encountered a Weeping Angel on the outskirts of the school grounds. Though she was able to stare it down for quite some time, she was beginning to genuinely fear for her life when Marilyn Thornhill's appearance distracted her; when she looked again, the Angel was gone, instead of having attacked her. The following night, she looked through the Nightshades' “secret library” until she found some scant information on the Angels. Reflecting that she'd been oddly lucky, she mused on the possibility of using the creatures as foes in “Viper's next case”. (PROSE: Wednesday and the Weeping Angel)

A few months later, Wednesday, preoccupied by a new mystery — someone sending her mysterious, threatening messages — found herself wandering back on the same path where she'd encountered the Angel. She instead met the Eleventh Doctor, and, unconvinced by his excuses, quickly guessed that he was looking for evidence of the Weeping Angel's passage. Intrigued, he invited her into the TARDIS.

The living timeship took a liking to Wednesday, and, after scanning her, gave her and the Doctor glimpses of versions of her from other universes, such as one who'd just burned down a summer cap, one who was busy “punishing some catcallers”, and one who, to the Nevermore Wednesday's distaste, “trying to make herself seem normal to impress a boy while singing about it”. The Doctor noticed her connection to these multiversal counterparts and guessed that Wednesday was a “complicated space-time event”, who had no doubt been the Angel's primary target. The Doctor offered to take her on as a companion, but Wednesday decided against leaving her family and friends, which the Doctor accepted. (PROSE: Wednesday and the Doctor)

Later still, after having apparently “saved the school”, Wednesday listlessly attended a Nevermore Academy Alumni Association reunion with her parents. There, she was accosted by her universe's version of Jenny Everywhere, who was, unsurprisingly, a Nevermore alumnus herself, and wanted to congratulate her for her heroics. When she mentioned her nature as a shifter, Wednesday brought up what she'd learned in her encounter with the “strange man in a blue box”, with whom Jenny proved familiar.

Not to be outdone, Jenny then decided to take Wednesday on a whirlwind tour of her other selves in person, allowing her to meet the young Wednesday who'd burnt down the summer camp, and the adult Wednesday who lived in Los Angeles. Wednesday declined the opportunity to meet any more Wednesdays, but seemed pleased with her takeaway that she was “a force to be reckoned with”, even in other universes.

As they returned to the party, Wednesday's friend Enid Sinclair excitedly announced that she'd been accepted into the Nightshades; noting that she'd been a member herself, Jenny decided to join them on their “midnight skinny dip” while Wednesday “sl[u]nk back into the shadows”. Still considering her mysterious stalker, Wednesday began wondering if an “army of Wednesdays” working together might be what it would take to crack the case, and resolved to try and seek Jenny out again if the opportunity arose.
