Interview With A Superhero was a short bonus comic to “Issue 3” of the Tales To Behold subseries of the webcomic The Cosmic Beholder. Written and drawn by Paul Hoppe, it was released both in webcomic form and in a limited print run. Though featuring cameos by a couple of established characters from the series, it was mostly an introduction to the new, morally ambiguous character of Captain Perfect.

Plot

Television program Hero Hour interviews Captain Perfect; once an upstanding superhero, his career (which gets an overview) had been on a downswing following several scandals involving the Captain, but, with a somewhat cocky grin, the aging hero assures them that he's back on the scene, with a movie about his life set for imminent release and even a promise that he'll soon be presented with the key to the city.

• This story takes place entirely in Reality Z-25 31-H.

Continuity

• Red Vicious is acknowledged by the broadcast as a new villain in town. His arrival in Reality Z-25 31-H was depicted in COMIC: Enter–the Legion of Light!.
• The zombie version of Captain Evening, for his part, was brought into Reality Z-25 31-H by Jenny in COMIC: For Whom The Toll Bells.
• This story sets up the events of COMIC: Meanwhile, On Earth, a longer story which depicted on the ceremony where Captain Perfect was to be given the key to the city.
