The Cosmic Beholder, or The Beholder, was the umbrella title given by Paul Hoppe to his several interconnected lines of mock-silver-age superhero comics, including Journey Into Misery and Tales To Behold, all sharing a single continuity (known informally as “the Beholderverse”).

Serialised on a single blog by that title, the various lines comprised a webcomic in its own right, though some also had limited print runs. Though not appearing in every story by any means, Jenny Everywhere and Jenny Nowhere were both major characters in the overall series, which can be considered a wholesale part of the Jenny Everywhere mythos. The Cosmic Beholder took part in several crossovers, both with its characters guest-starring in other webcomics, and other creator-owned or public-domain characters making extended guest appearances within the pages of Beholder.

Similarly, though less constantly, to The Bare Pit, The Cosmic Beholder has frequently included uncensored on-panel nudity of its various characters, most often in wholly non-sexual contexts.
