The Bureau of Singularity was an organisation which sought to regulate and oversee the Multiverse.

Description

The Bureau took action to correct what it perceived as dimensional anomalies, having the means to erase individuals from Time if they felt that their existence conflicted with established history. The Bureau also monitored and punished offences such as “interdimensional loitering”.

Human agents of the Bureau dressed as conventional “men in black”, with black business suits and sunglasses. The Bureau also employed anthropomorphic crocodiles (who wore similar suits, but no sunglasses) and intelligent robots disguised as watertowers. (COMIC: Life… in the Heart of the City)

History

Targeting the Terrific Two

Agents of the Bureau chase the Terrific Two. (COMIC: Life… in the Heart of the City)

After coming to the conclusion that the survival of Reality Z-25 31-H's Terrific Two (Kelly and Jenkins) beyond their adventure in space was a temporal anomaly, the Bureau of Singularity sent several dozen agents to their apartment with orders to arrest the two then erase them from Time. However, a quarrel broke out between the leaders of the operation about precisely what paragraph the Two were being arrested under. Escaping in the confusion, the Two escaped other agents of the Bureau in a dash through New York City and finally found refuge at an amateur preformance art venue whose chaotic, paradoxical nature confused the Bureau's sensors, rendering the Two undetectable.
