In Reality Z-25 31-H, Chief Inspector Dennis was a police inspector, part of Scotland Yard, in early 21st century England. She was also the last surviving descendant of the Arthurian knight Sir Dennis of Inde, and became the vessel for his immortal spirit against her will, thus resurrecting “the Blue Knight”.

She oversaw the case with remarkable unflappability when Insecto's Insect People built a giant anthill in the middle of a city near London and started taking it over, not violently but by simply inserting themselves into its daily goings-on and being as rude as possible in the hope that the humans would eventually give up and leave the city to them. She called in the Odds, an American superhero team led by Captain Evening and also including “Jenny”.

Merlin merges Chief Inspector Dennis with the Blue Knight despite the modern Dennis protesting and attempting to hold Merlin at gunpoint. (COMIC: Encore)

After they dealt with the situation, tricking Insecto into halting his plans and making an oath to ask pleasantly towards the city-dwellers from then on, Dennis was keen to see the American weirdos go back the way they came, but they decided to extend their vacation a little long. (COMIC: Battle of Britain) She was called in again due to their actions when they lifted an ancient monolith without permission, freeing the immortal Blue Knight, now reduced a spirit animating hollow armour. Shortly after she arrived on the scene, Merlin appeared, having projected himself from the past to help bring the Knight back to full strength to fulfill his destiny. He cast a powerful space that merged the Knight with his descendant, despite both Dennises' protests that this wasn't what they wanted, leaving the new “Blue Knight” as an amalgam of Sir Dennis and Inspector Dennis, with Inspector Dennis's body inside the Blue Knight armour. (COMIC: Encore)
