The 925th Universe was home to a group of powerful beings who called themselves the Guardians of Time.
The Cyclocks were beings “hand-crafted” by “the Guardians of Time themselves” to “watch over the timelines of many universes”, (PROSE: Good Crieff - The Tribulations of the Scottish Division) or, according to another version of the same account, specifically the timeline of the 925th Universe. (PROSE: Good Crieff: The Tribulations of the Scottish Division (2024 reedit))
Doctor Know was aware of it, and brought it up when attempting to make conversation with his Cyclock coworker Tetra-None Hepta-Oct. He added that he was “something of a Guardian of Time himself”, or rather, was equivalent to them in power and could have been one of their number, if not for the fact that “they don’t take new members… or they’re just bad at responding to emails”. (PROSE: Annals of the Jen: One Year of Jenny Over-There: Tetra-None Hepta-Oct and Doctor Know-It-All Talk it Out)
Behind the scenes
“The Guardians of Time” were mentioned without context in Brandon Longstreth's open-source blurb describing the Cylocks. They share their name with cosmic beings from the Doctor Who universe, and with the titular human organisation of benevolent travellers from the Guardians of Time novel series by Marianne Curley, launched in 2002. However, it is likely that this is more or less a coincidence.
