Radluhac ag-Wampyr, who held the title of Strategist Earl, was the leader of the five surviving Wellsians whom Pythagoras-858 failed to defeat at Morningstar 1 on Venus, and who subsequently escaped in the Department of Problem-Solving's first Fog Ship to go on to found the New Wellsian Empire.

Biography

In 1897 =

Radluhac was one of the Wellsians of the 97th Cosmos who participated in the attempted 1897 invasion of Earth Earth. After the invasion was foiled by a plague which decimated the Wellsians, a few non-contaminated ones escaped in a Tripod modified for space travel, which found its way to Venus, where it crashed. (VIDEO: The Wellsians, PROSE: The Resurrection of the Wellsians) The seven Wellsians who survived the crash went into hibernation while their craft became buried under many feet of Venusian sand. Eventually, nearly a century later, a base called Morningstar 1 was built by the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids over the exact spot of the crash. Resurrection

Having unearthed the Tripod by accident while trying to dig up a new pool, the alchemist Mandragora-257, who had been banished to Morningstar 1 after one of his experiments went wrong in the Homeworld, engaged in a “Great Experiment” to revive the intact, but hibernating Wellsians he had extracted from the wreckage. He promised the base's Governor that the resurrected aliens, who would be able to rebuild their Heat Rays, would allow him to rebel against the Crew once and for all, conquer the Earth, and use it as a launching point for an all-out campaign across the Multiverse.

owever, the Wellsians were playing the Cupids for their own ends. After finding that the Governor had locked the three Fog Ships kept on retainer in the base, they sent a psychic distress call to the Cupid Homeworld to lure a new vehicle: the Department of Problem-Solving's Ship. The Problem-Solvers uncovered Mandragora's plans, but were unable to stop things from violently coming to a head, with one Wellsian killing Governor-105 point-blank and the other trying to shoot Mandragora. Because Mandragora was carrying an explosive chemical on his person at the time, this caused an explosion which destroyed the base, killing that Wellsian and one other, as well as discorporating Mandragora. The other Cupids were unharmed, but soon discovered that the five remaining Wellsians had long since taken advantage of the distraction to make their escape. Wandering

In their stolen ship, the Wellsians made their way to the Interdimensional Black Market. Learning that powerful interdimensionally-involved individuals sometimes traded entire planets away at Hilbert's, he sent the Viscount Forga sog-Forgos there to acquire a new planet by any means necessary. On New Wellsia

After the New Wellsian Empire was established on Thrash, (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker) the five survivors began resurrecting some of their old traditions. As they prepared to celebrate their first Allac-Ur, they received Darius's invitation to the Land of Manik. Deeming that they could use the promised riches to help build up their new Empire, Radluhac decided that they should accept. After matters resolved themselves, the Wellsians went home with their chosen share of the Frost King's treasure, namely a bell which served as the perfect finishing touch to their Allac-Ur festivities; Radluhac also selected an imperial-looking crown for his own use, not yet revealing as much to the others. In time, however, it became quite clear that Earl Radluhac was preparing to officially secede from the by then highly fictitious authority of Karshassinwellshkhan III and declare himself Emperor. However, he had not yet officially done so by the time of the second Allac-Ur celebrations on Thrash, more or less coinciding with Christmas 2020 for the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids. The other Wellsians arranged for a magnificent Allac-Ur celebration mostly focused on the Earl, going so far as to order a magical music box from Madame Tarsa herself as a present for him.

However, the arrival of the present was delayed due to Tarsa having, unbeknownst to the Wellsians, been magically frozen by an unknown party (in actuality Sebastian Steer). While Skollops ag-Warka and Sympus ag-Forgos discussed what to do about this, Radluhac, from the top of the Vantage-Tower of the Wellsian fortress, caught sight of Juliet-178 and Arganthone-056 who were flying towards them. They were actually there in connection to the matter of Tarsa, hoping to acquire a Heat Ray from the Wellsians to melt her free. However, Radluhac saw the Cupids as enemies and ordered the other Wellsians to deal with the “attack”. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)
