The strip was created in 2003 and was originally hosted privately on an unknown website. It was later posted on the author's Tumblr blog, where it can still be viewed at this link, alongside the following description:
| I’d forgotten I’d ever made anything like this. It’s a Jenny Everywhere strip done in MS Paint, made by sampling photos and converting to monochrome images in collages. I’ve never drawn much of anything good, but I remember being interested in the way this turned out. The haiku is mine, too.
Of course, it’s Jenny Everywhere, so it really belongs to everyone. I don’t think I ever made it public before now. Just tucked it in a hidden directory on someone else’s website so I’d find it 13 years later. |
