In one universe, the normal household of Hattie and her son Mika had to deal with two separate instances of garden ornaments coming to life: first a group of irate-looking lawn gnomes of unknown provenance, (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: Very Small Assault) and, after the gnomes left to repair an elevator somewhere else, the neighbours' plastic flamingos coming to life.
