Trial of the Man in Grey
The Trial of the Man in Grey was organised in the 925th Universe's Land of Oz by Ozma at the request of Professor Wogglebug.
History
Background
In 2022, Oz hosted the Interdimensional Pride Council in preparation for the Interdimensional Pride Parade. After the festivities were endangered by the Man in Grey's profit-oriented decision to pursue a variety of unethical sponsors for the event, he was banished from Oz by Ozma. However, these events improbably led to him (PROSE: A Series of Queer Events) sincerely pursuing a reciprocated romantic relationship with Professor Wogglebug, an Ozite. (PROSE: Lovie Dovie Stuff) Wogglebug wrote a 50,000-word request to Ozma for the banishment to be repealed, preempting the Man in Grey himself, who had been trying and failing to type out a sincere-sounding apology email. Recognising that having an Ozite who genuinely cared about him was grounds to potentially rethink the sentence of banishment, as standing in the way of love would have been in contradiction of the very spirit in which he had been exiled, Ozma agreed to set a trial date for him so he could present his case.
