The Endless
In one universe, the Endless were a group of nigh-immortal beings who embodied key concepts of their cosmos. They numbered seven in all: three sisters, three brothers, and one non-binary sibling. The oldest of the Endless, was Destiny. Other Endless included Death (PROSE: Psychopomp) and Dream. (PROSE: Second Date)
The Endless were physically invulnerable, and did not age even through “eternity”, but would die permanently if their concepts became irrelevant to the cosmos; this eventually happened as all sentient life in the universe slowly died out. Because she was needed to end her siblings' lives, Death became the final surviving Endless at the very end of time in their universe. After waiting alone for an eternity, she was found by Jenny Everywhere, who helped her leave this finished universe behind and find new purpose as an interdimensional traveller, finally free of the responsibility of her duty.
