Santa Claus (A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas)
A demonic, arrogant version of Santa Claus residing in his own pocket dimension had an alliance with the Great Higher-Ups of the 925th Universe. Known as “the bearer of unearthly gifts, the Burzee King, the slayer of the Awgwas, the son of nymphs and the ruler of elves”, (PROSE: A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas) or by an alternative account as “the bearer of unearthly gifts, the Burzee King, the Hag-Son of Zurline, the Slayer of the Awgwas, [and] the Tyrant King of the Elves”, (PROSE: A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas (2024 reedit) he had a single, pointed horn on his head instead of a hat, and it was often bloodied in battle, staining it red. He was in control of hundreds of the benign “Santaforms” who acted as the Santa Clauses of various universes in the Multiverse, and could assign them at his own whim. He was immortal, and dismissive of mere mortals.
On Christmas Eve 2022, the Man in Grey journeyed to his home at the top of a mostly-empty tower in the middle of a Northern wilderness in a pocket dimension, where his sustenance (a “bizarre mixture of milk, flour, eggs, caster sugar, bicarbonate of soda, chocolate chips, and vanilla, slopped together in one bowl”) was brought up to him regularly in baskets via a chain and pulley system rigged in the middle of the circular stairwell. The Man in Grey explained that he was here to renew the Higher-Ups' alliance with Santa Claus, and, when the entity pointed out that something so trivial could have been handled through an email, the Man in Grey admitted that he had another, more personal suit in mind: he wanted to borrow a Santaform to film a Christmas ad for the M.F.S. office. Amused by the brazenness of the request, Santa Claus granted it. (PROSE: A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas)
Behind the scenes
This Santa Claus's titles are loose references to L. Frank Baum's Life and Times of Santa Claus, where Santa was born in the Forest of Burzee (though he never became its “King”), adopted and raised by a Wood Nymph called Necile, and faced evil beings called the Awgwas (a corrupted form of “Ogres”) who were indeed eradicated in the course of the story, although again Santa Claus was not personally responsible for this.
