Created by an unknown species of extraterrestrial, the device came into the possession of [[Millard Detweiler]], who gave it to his employee, [[Max Murdock]], to test. Murdock proceeded to change his appearance several times, including, once, into a version of himself resembling [[Jenny Everywhere]], although he noted that the device would be improved it were possible to turn off and if there was a lock feature to prevent the user's appearance from changing every time they involuntarily thought of something.
