The Staircase was a spiral staircase starting near the front door and going upwards. The supports were in the shape of animal limbs, and each stone step represented a [[ley line]]. Every four steps was a doorway. The doors went up to the front door of [[the Attic]], but they also went beyond it — and at the very top, there was a golden gate surrounded by “dry ice tended to by the very highest of the [[goblin]]s”.
