In one universe, Mr Norman was an ordinary family man, the father of a boy and girl, who was hypnotised by Junter's Rune of Wanting into buying Junter and Ibdis's apartment without checking it in person first. Thus, Junter and Ibdis rid themselves of the apartment, whose plumbing system had been taken over by the unspeakable horror. (COMIC: A Letter From Beyond)
