Henribald

In the 925th Universe, Henribald was a fictional character in the Dibbsy's Beauty and the Beast. He was one of numerous characters Dibbsy hypocritically claimed as their “first gay character” for Pride Month brownie-points, although the amount of attention this got in the film amounted to Henribald “putting his arm over another man for 2.3 seconds”. With Dibbsy being a clear analogue for Disney, this satirises one of multiple attempts at queer representation in 21st century Disney media that have widely been perceived as half-baked and non-committal: a brief, wordless, yet much-publisied suggestion in their 2017 Beauty and the Beast film that Le Fou is gay.
