In Universe Gemini, Ghostbusters was the favourite movie of Zed Hudson, as a result of which picked his new name by mashing up one character's last name of Zeddemore with that of the actor who portrayed him, Ernie Hudson. Winston Zeddemore was not actually his favourite character in the film (though he admitted that he was “cool”), but, as he later pointed out, “Stantz Aykroyd” would not have made for a very satisfying name.
