Plot
As she sleeps, Jenny Everywhere dreams of the experiences of another Jenny, who is watching silently in the middle of a rainforest as a chorus of six frogs sing, briefly interrupted by a leopard. Eventually, however, her phone rings in her original reality and she must wake up.
Worldbuilding
Jenny Everywhere
- The Jenny featured in this story is primarily the one used by Scott Sanford from PROSE: Parallax onwards as his “default” Jenny; however, she spends most of the story asleep enjoying the perceptions of another reality's Jenny.
Universes
- Jenny is physically in bed in her own universe, but observes events in another in her dreams.
Other
- Noting that the frogs are signing “a six voice polyphonic madrigal”, Jenny thinks to herself that “Bach would approve” and “so would those Mormons at the Tabernacle”.

Background
When releasing the story on Dreamwidth in 2022, Scott Sanford appended some commentary to the story:
The other night I was at the keyboard and this popped out. It’s arguably not a story, although Ficly had posts shorter and less coherent, but it stands as a quiet interlude in the often noisy life of Jenny Everywhere. Like Awakening, it can be enjoyed as a mood piece. |
