Fairy Godparent

Fairy Godmother, or occasionally Fairy Godfather, was the role of a benevolent figure in various fairy tales. The literality and significance of the name varied from one tale, and one actual universe, to the next.

A Fairy Godmother famously played a part in the story of Cinderella. There were many versions of the tale which played out with a young version of Jenny as Cinderella, and an older, more experienced incarnation of Jenny as the Fairy Godmother. When she was told about this, the 38167th Universe's version of Laura Drake decided to try acting as the Fairy Godmother to a Cinderella-Jenny; as she reflected, “I’d love to turn a pumpkin into a vehicle with science. And I can do the midnight thing, no problem. I’m always programming self-destruct sequences into things.” (PROSE: Family Business)

Sven Allestädes once stated that he thought of himself as something like Greta Överallt's “Fairy Godfather” after he helped her learn to use her shifting powers. (COMIC: 24 Hour Comic 2019)

Though an actual fairy as well as a friend of the child's mother, Pixie Pristine declined the offer of officially becoming Sophie Everytime's “Fairy Godmother”, preferring to simply be an aunt. (PROSE: Family Business)
