Electromagnetic Ankh
An Electromagnetic Ankh was a handheld device resembling a magnifying glass with a tinted glass lens, in the shape of an ankh. It combined occult and technological powers.
Pythagoras-858 acquired an Electromagnetic Ankh in “an alternate timeline where the Pharaohs defeated the Macedonians and their civilisation advanced well into the 16th and 17th centuries, complete with thaumato-technological advances well ahead of anything Western civilisation [was] doing in […] the early 21st century”. The device could apparently be used to determine whether someone was alive or dead, whether they were under a curse, and whether their soul was still inside their body. When briefly believing that Juliet-178 had angered Odin during their encounter with him, Pythe threatened him with it. He did not actually think the device could do much to harm the God, but banked on him not knowing that. Odin recognised the device as an ankh. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)
