Dynamo
Dynamo was a superhero with power over electricity and other forms of energy, a version of whom existed in Reality Z-25 31-H. In addition to the expected ability to hurl bolts of lightning, he could fly and create impenetrable force fields. He belonged to the League of Champions.
He was a part of the superhero team which tried to fight back against Ro-Man's attempted invasion of Earth in Buranda in the late 2000s. Though putting in a valiant effort, the heroes were ultimately unable to overcome the aliens on their own, with Earth only being saved by the intervention of Stardust the Super-Wizard.
Some years later, when Ro-Man returned for revenge against Kaza, Gwenna contacted Dynamo, though he took a little while to answer the call as he'd been in the middle of an unrelated adventure in San Francisco. However, he flew to the rescue just in time to save Gwenna, Fred Hancock, Wimberly and the Commissioner from the giant bullet-proof reptile Ro-Man had left to guard his flying saucer.
He also provided them with key information that the League had managed to extract by analysing the technology Ro-Man's kind had left behind after their first failed invasion: to wit, Ro-Man was actually an energy being in a possessed body. His current plan turned out to involve discarding his previous body to possess Deena Hancock, whom he believed to be Gwenna. After Gwenna beat “Deena” in a fight and goaded Ro-Man into surrendering her body to try and possess Gwenna's instead, Dynamo used his powers to disrupt Ro-Man's energy-being form long enough for Fred to then trap him in his own electromagnetism-proof helmet. Behind the scenes
The character of Jim Andrews, alias Dynamo originally appeared in superhero comics published by the Fox Features Syndicate starting in 1940. He was notably first introduced under the name of “Electro”; Fox would go on to create a similar, but distinct hero by that name in 1946. In 1963, Marvel Comics would introduce a more enduring supervillain of the same name as a foe for Spider-Man. Meanwhile, in 1965, the name of “Dynamo” was resurrected for a very different superhero by Tower Publishing.
