Biography
The Cthulhu Kid, a gun-toting outlaw, engaged in a shootout with Jenny Everywhere, who was attempting to prevent it from bringing about the end of the universe alongside the Old Ones. Before any shots were fired, it taunted Jenny, calling her a mortal, and telling her that it was beyond fear.
Although it fired all of its guns at Jenny, she managed to dodge the bullets, and shot the Cthulhu Kid in the head, causing it to bleed out on the desert sand. As Jenny apologized to it, it laughed, saying that she was too late, as the stars had aligned and the Old Ones were already coming. (PROSE: Showdown in the End Times)
Behind the scenes
The Cthulhu Kid was created by Jeanne for their short story Showdown in the End Times. The character appears to be a conflation of Cthulhu, from the Lovecraft Mythos, with “the Sundance Kid”.
Because the story in which it originated was released under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License, the Cthulhu Kid is an open-source character, but any story featuring him must give credit to his original creator.
