Biggles Goes to Mars was an exceedingly rare Biggles book in one universe. At some point in the late 1960s, it was lent to Jenny Cornelius by Mr Fell in exchange for her tracking down a copy of the Plasmanomicon for his personal collection. She was reading it when she received an urgent phone call from Captain Stewart about a SBS detachment stuck in North Korea who needed her help to slip away without making a fuss. (PROSE: The Folly of Men)

Behind the scenes

The book Biggles Goes to Mars, not a part of the real-world Biggles series, was brought into Aziraphale's possession at the end of the original Good Omens novel by Adam Young when he recreated Aziraphale's bookshop with a few touches of his own. This latter plot point introduces a minor discrepancy in the 1960s setting of The Folly of Men, as Good Omens quite clearly took place around time of publication, some decades later, and Aziraphale makes it clear he did not have a copy of Biggles Goes to Mars beforehand, with the implication that no such book even existed.
