Doctor Curious's Castle
Doctor Curious's Castle was the lair of Doctor Curious on the planet Triskadeckia in the Jynx Dimension.
Description
It appeared as an imposing castle of black stone by the side of a dirt road. However, it was concealed by unknown means such that it would be completely invisible unless one was less than twelve feet away from it; to any more distant observer, there would appear to be nothing more than a dying thicket where the Castle actually stood.
Instead of a great entrance hall, a small lobby waited behind its heavy front door, with most of its floor hollowed out to make way for a spiraling staircase that led to Curious's mad-science laboratory. However, it did have more conventionally castle-like amenities including a ballroom, located above-ground, as well as a banquet hall. The latter was decorated in an oddball style which clashed with the Castle's general gothic decor, but not with its owner's fashion sense: the walls were “striped and polka dotted,” and the floor “was painted in swirls that made it look like you were falling”. History
Pessimist-242 was held prisoner in the Castle for several weeks after Doctor Curious captured him while travelling the Multiverse. He was eventually rescued along with his Fog Ship when two other Copper-Colored Cupids, Tom-176 and John-181, stumbled onto the Castle by chance and were captured by Curious only to free themselves with the help of Doctor Curious's Monster. As they made their escape from the ballroom in their Fog Ships, the two sets of Cupids crashed through Curious's Castle's wall, much to the mad scientist's displeasure. With his Monster having gone with the Cupids, Curious and the Robot Waiter were left as the Castle's only inhabitants. (PROSE: The Companions of Doctor Curious)
