The Earth of this universe, where Jenny and her beloved lived, seemed to exist in something like the late 20th or early 21st century. It gave no signs of containing any form of supernatural, merely relatively advanced technology such as criss-crossing lasers to detect intruders. Paris was once mentioned by the master-thief, making it likely this Earth and its history were generally similar to “standard”. (COMIC: My Bloody Valentine)
History
One Valentine's Day, the local Jenny Everywhere 2 and the Master-thief with whom she was enamored carried out an arduous and glamorous robbery, stealing a huge diamond from a circular room criss-crossed with security lasers by dropping down from the ceiling. A false move meant the master-thief tripped the alarm; he handed the diamond to Jenny and told her to save herself and the diamond — leaving him to be arrested — albeit not before he gave her a passionate French-kiss. The shock of the kiss in such stressful circumstances sent another Jenny's consciousness, which had briefly merged with the local Jenny's, along to a third universe. (COMIC: My Bloody Valentine)
