The Spider Queen was one of several superheroes from the Foxverse whom Dynamite Thor acknowledged as more effective than him; he would relate to Jenny Over-There how the Spider Queen, the Dart and Electro's effectiveness at cleaning up the streets had been part of the impetus behind him moving to the 925th Universe, where he hoped he would be more useful. Like Dynamite Thor, the Spider Queen (civilian name Shannon Kane) was a short-lived 1940s superhero comics characters in stories published by the Fox Features Syndicate, who subsequently entered the public domain. She is best remembered for having a basic gimmick which closely anticipates Spider-Man, creating extremely strong webs by using devices attached to her wrists to shoot out a fast-drying artificial web fluid. In acknowledgement of the similarity, a version of the character was eventually introduced to Marvel Comics, albeit as a villainous character.
