Tarsa's Wind-Up Beast was one of the many sentient constructs created by Madame Tarsa. By Christmas 2021, it was a resident of the Cupid Homeworld, and accordingly attended the party organised by CS-NA in the Homeworld, where it ended up talking “Troll politics” with Tero Trollgarsson. Behind the scenes
This Wind-Up Beast was introduced to The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids in Tarsa's Thank-you Gift, a “Fact File” released partway through the serialisation of The Winter Quests. It was described as “a wind-up toy resembling a very fluffy monstrosity of some description” which, when wound up, talked intelligently about politics instead of walking about like most wind-up toys. The Wind-Up Beast was also visible in the “Offworlders Holiday Card”, released the day after the Fact File, likewise during the serialisation of The Winter Quests.
