In the original version of ''[[A Series of Queer Events (short story)|A Series of Queer Events]]'', only up for a short amount of time before this was altered, the deity invited by [[the Man in Grey]] onto the Council was [http://lovecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Gloon Gloon], an eldritch deity from the Cthulhu Mythos, inspired by Dionysus. This was changed when [[Callum Phillpott]] was informed that although the character was developed based on hints in a public-domain H. P. Lovecraft story, the name “Gloon” was not itself in the public domain contrary to Phillpott's earlier assumption. | |||
