Sam (Adventurers and Heroes)

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

In one universe, Sam was a human, female Wizard active in the modern day, and a member of O.O.P..

Description

Physical appearance

Sam's true physical appearance was impossible to discern when she wore her Wizardly garb, a gray, hooded shroud which hid her face in impenetrable darkness, with only the cyan pinpricks of her glowing pupils for visible facial features. (COMIC: Adventurers and Heroes) Under the hood, she was actually a black woman, but this was not obvious to her own O.O.P. teammates. (COMIC: Twist!)

Personality

Sam had a laid-back personality, talking about her magic with little fuss or pride. (COMIC: Look At His Dead Eyes)

Powers & abilities

Sam had a variety of magical abilities (COMIC: Look At His Dead Eyes) including the power to temporarily shapeshift people to look like other existing people. (COMIC: Pseudo Junterling)

Biography

Sam at the first meeting of O.O.P.. (COMIC: Look At His Dead Eyes)

After the Pope was abducted by impoverished Lich Emperor Junter, a team of adventurers gathered to rescue him. Among them was Sam. They gathered, not having met before, at the apartment building where Junter lived with Ibdis; (COMIC: Adventurers and Heroes) there, the Paladin Creed, declaring himself team leader, made the introductions. (COMIC: Look At His Dead Eyes) Creed suggested that “Plan A” be to send in a member of the team in disguise. Sam suggested using her magic to shapeshift a member of the team to look like Ibdis, but Creed dismissed this suggestion, claiming “magic [was] for wimp” — much to Sam's chagrin. Instead, he sent in Bob, posing as a Junterling. Naturally, Junter and the real Junterling saw right through the ruse. (COMIC: Pseudo Junterling)

Ginger accidentally hits Sam with an arrow. (COMIC: Eyes of the Hawk)

With Bob's attempt on Junter's life having failed, (COMIC: What Primal Helium?) it fell to Ginger to attempt to snipe Junter. Despite getting a clear shot, he failed spectacularly, with his arrow somehow arcing backwards to hit a baffled Sam. The Elf sheepishly admitted to being a “really bad sniper”. (COMIC: Eyes of the Hawk) Ultimately, O.O.P. fled out of awkwardness when Junter pointed out the group's lack of diversity, abandoning their mission. Sam was left to belatedly point out that Junter's barb was inaccurate, given she was neither white nor male. (COMIC: You Disgust Me!, Twist!)
