In one universe; Professor Wulfe was Jenny Everywhere's friend and mentor.
He was a bald scientist with a flair for the theatrical. Although he could acquire a “laser focus” when “in scientist mode”, Wulfe was happiest on the occasions when he got involved in a proper adventure and did something daring to the point of recklessness. Aboard his airship, the improbably-named Harold's Purple Crayon, Wulfe often acted as tech support for the more physically adventurous Jenny, staying in contact with her through her iWatch. Behind the scenes
Professor Wulfe first appeared in Falling Short, a story which was released on Ficly, whose stories are meant to be released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0. This would presumably mean that Wulfe is himself licensed under a CC-SA license, meaning he can be used freely in new material so long as Robert Quick is credited as his creator and the story is itself licensed uner the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 license.
However, this is not certain; it is possible that the story's Ficly release was not its first, in which case Quick may retain copyright. Inversely, the statement on Quick's Ficly profile, “Most stories here are an invitation to YOU, to join me in creating new stories, new worlds, and a different tomorrow”, may be interpreted to mean that Quick released elements from his stories into the public domain outright, although the statement is too vague for this to be certain.
