In one universe, Mika was a young boy who lived with his mother Hattie in a suburban house. Mika's father no longer lived with them, and Hattie did not appear to miss him. The pair had to deal with two separate instances of garden ornaments coming to life: first a group of irate-looking lawn gnomes of unknown provenance, (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: Very Small Assault) and, after the gnomes left to repair an elevator somewhere else, the neighbours' plastic flamingos coming to life.
