Behind the scenes
Most of the drinks served at the Barbelith Baristas are references to copyrighted fictional beverages from other franchises. “Cardamom and Melange” is a more subtle pun: in the Dune franchise, Melange, a supernatural drug, is also known as “spice”, whereas cardamom is a literal real-world spice.
