The Pure Elixir was the alchemical elixir with the power to turn any base metal into gold.
Mandragora-257 considered it “the masterpiece of alchemical craft”. He succeeded in brewing the Pure Elixir during his time at Morningstar 1, and gleefully showed his first vial to Governor-105, only for the base leader to temper his enthusiasm by pointing out how little use Copper-Colored Cupids like themselves had for “unlimited amounts of gold”, particularly while staying on a base on a barren planet. A distraught Mandragora weakly suggested that they could “make walls out of it”, (COMIC: All That Sparkles Is Not Concrete) and indeed, by the time the Department of Problem-Solving travelled to Morningstar 1, its outer walls were made of solid gold.
