Thuban was a blue-skinned alien humanoid from one of the universes where the Infinity Apartment existed, and a neighbour of Jenny Everywhere's as a result. Aware of the Apartment's multi-dimensional nature, he was a friend and occasional adventuring companion to Jenny. He was a great fan of Star Wars.

Aware of goings-on in the human-inhabited universes to which the Apartment connected, Thuban once attempted to tell the entire Star Wars saga in six panels of the comic in honour of Star Wars Shortened, but failed because he wasted too much of the strip discussing the idea itself, such that he had to boil everything down to a single panel of a severed hand letting go of a lightsabre, with the caption “Stuff happened”.

When Jenny decided to take him, Ezri and Keith to Club Jitsu, a ninja club, Thuban took in stride the fact, as a ninja club, most of the guests were remaining invisible or otherwise undetectable, simply marveling at the way his glass kept refilling itself whenever he blinked. After a few ninjas became visible after all, he flirted with one, demonstrating the ability to speak Japanese.

On Halloween 2006, Thuban dressed up as Anakin Skywalker.

After Ezri was called back to her home universe by a Lady to help defend it against the invading evil overlord, Minrath, Thuban followed her, Jenny and ShatterScreen there. However, it transpired that the locals really had no need of anyone but Ezri, who was the Champion of Prophecy.

Jenny subsequently removed herself from the Apartment for six months, having left to find herself. When she returned, Thuban was busy playing a video game of some kind, and it took him quite some time to register Ezri's telling him about Jenny's return and marriage. After catching up, however, Thuban was very supportive of Jenny's decision and asked her what married life was like, although he somewhat misinterpreted her explanations. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)
