The company's hypocritical Pride-themed promotional release of a box set of all their movies featuring alleged “first gay Dibbsy characters” included a complimentary rainbow pin of Mammon Mouse. (PROSE: A Series of Queer Events)
On Christmas Eve 2022, various noteworthy individuals clashed at the Dibbsy Store over various collectibles, many of which involved the image of the Mouse. The Beastmaster charged in with a wild bear to get his hands on a Mammon Mouse plush, while Dynamite Thor expended much effort to get his hands on the Dibbsy Toaster, an exclusive item which “burned your toast in the shape of Mammon Mouse's silhouette”. After the store was lit on fire in the commotion, the big Mammon Mouse silhouette looming over the building also caught fire. When Dibbsy partnered with Kyujudo to release a Super Benito Siblings movie in 2023, posters featuring Mammon Mouse and Dollar Duck as the brothers Benito and Giovanni were created as part of the marketing campaign. (PROSE: Who Laws the Lawyers?)
Behind the scenes
Mammon Mouse is an obvious satirical counterpart of Mickey Mouse, with Dibbsy being equivalent to Disney. Mammon is a Biblical allegorical personification of wealth and greed. Mickey Mouse's head shape is often simplified to three circles, matching Mammon Mouse's three triangles.
On January 18th, 2023, on the Jenny Everywhere Discord, Callum Phillpott officially declared Dibbsy and related concepts such as Mammon to be open-source, despite not having originally intended as much when Dibbsy was first introduced.
