Centennia's mother was a single American woman in the late 19th century.

At a ball in the Autumn of 1899, she met a charming gentleman who turned out to be a visitor from another world, come to study humanity. He asked her to show him human love (both romantic and carnal), and after dancing all night, they made love. He left in the morning, returning to his planet, leaving her all his human possessions — including a fortune in cash. To the woman's surprise, but not displeasure, she became pregnant following the encounter and gave birth to a child (COMIC: A Night to Remember) who became the immortal superheroine, Centennia. (COMIC: Sausage-Fest!)

Centennia's mother told the girl about her alien parentage when her powers started to manifest, though she took some time to believe it. (COMIC: Child of the Stars)
