The Red Lion Inn was “one of the great disreputable interstitial bars and taverns of the hypercosmos”. It was run by the Bartender and well-known to Jenny Everywhere.

Nature

Although there were many other inns, taverns and pubs, there was only one “true” interdimensional Red Lion Inn, which was capable of shifting its location across time and space to avoid the attention of “powers that be”, and was connected to many dimensions through a maze of hidden tunnels and exits in the basement. The Bartender's rule was that visitors to the Inn could stay for free for as long as they needed in exchange for owing the Bartender a favour, which she could call at any time in their lives. The Inn was patronised by “heroes seeking quests, criminals on the run from the law, queer people seeking hookups, and anyone looking for a place to stay”. History

In the Collapsed Cosmos

The Red Lion Inn clung on to existence when the Multiverse broke down into a single Collapsed Cosmos, acting as a refuge for the “collapsed” versions of many legendary beings, including Anansi, Osiris, Tiresias, Morgan Le Fay, the Whore of Babylon, Irene Adler, Achilles and Loki. While fleeing from the Wild Hunt in Faerie, Jenny Everywhere and Glendalf found one of the doors leading to the Red Lion Inn. She was recognised by Lockjaw the bouncer, and regained her own memories of the Inn even as she entered it. As soon as she came in, the Bartender struck up a conversation with her.
