Heat Rays were a favoured weapons of the Wellsians who settled on Thrash. Juliet-178 believed them to be one of the most “unusual and powerful” sources of heat in the Multiverse, prompting her to want to try to use one to melt Madame Tarsa out of her ice prison after Juliet and Arganthone-056 were tasked with solving that problem by Pythagoras-858 in December 2020. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)
Laura Drake once invented a portable, less powerful heat ray as a present for her best friend Jenny Everywhere with the intent of allowing Jenny to easily toast bread while on the go. She also ended up using the ray as a weapon against the Fallen One before she got the chance to actually give it to Jenny, who soon used it for its intended purpose. (PROSE: The Disappearance of Jenny Everywhere)
