The Destroyer was a malevolent being which attempted to destroy the proto-multiverse at the beginning of everything. The Defender, its benevolent counterpart, fought it off and eventually banished the Destroyer into the nothingness beyond existence. However, as it went, the Destroyer taunted the Defender with the knowledge that the damage it had dealt to the proto-multiverse was sufficient for it to never grow into the Multiverse. The Defender rectified this by sacrificing herself, shattering herself into an infinity of splinters who filled all the gaps in the fabric of reality. Hence, Jenny Everywhere was born.(PROSE: Where Is Everywhere

Behind the scenes

The Destroyer was created by Ununnilium for the short story PROSE: Where Is Everywhere.

Because the story in which it originated was released under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License, the Destroyer is an open-source character, but any story featuring him must give credit to his original creator.

It is possible (though this was likely not the intent of the various creators involved) that the Destroyer is the same being as the Entity from COMIC: Makeshift Multiverse and/or as the Living Black Hole from COMIC: The Secret Origin of Jenny Everywhere.
