Conceptual engines, or conceptual drives, were key components of the Fog Ships, the Void Ships used by the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids.
The designs for the conceptual drive were among those left behind by the Creator to her creations before she withdrew from public life. Cupid scientists then used them as well as her plans for dematerialisation circuits to develop the Fog Ships. (PROSE: The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids)
Juliet believed that the only components absolutely necessary to a Fog Ship's function were “the engine”, the dematerialisation circuit, and the steering wheel. (PROSE: The Labors of Juliet)
