The Cult of Acantha was a cult of a dozen or so vampires based in a dark temple on a “nameless planet” in the 819th Universe.
The Cult worshipped the Echo, an entity that was what remained of Briar's potential evil future vampiric self, “Acantha”, after she managed to mostly erase that future from reality. The Cult was led by the siblings Sentis and Rubus. They had access to the Shadow Pathways to travel across dimensions, and Sentis possessed a blood-red amulet which granted her minor telekinetic powers.
Acting on the Echo's orders, they acquired Acantha's clothing and one of her fangs from the Interdimensional Black Market, and hired the assassin Lainya Vantrik to erase the timeline where Briar remained human from existence. They had acquired five stells with which to pay her; However, Vantrik ultimately refused to complete the job when she learned how young her intended target was, turning on Sentis and Rubus, who were forced to flee through the Pathways.
