Captain Noranga was a recurring supporting character in the Kaza's Mate, Gwenna series. He piloted his boat, the Noranga's Pride, up and down the Kogana River, occasionally appearing when a story's action came near the water. His vessel was conveniently small for shallow river work and easily handled by one man, with two small cargo cranes and an enclosed bridge. Cargo and the occasional passengers were kept on deck, with the engine spaces below.
On one occasion he happened to be passing by and was able to tell Kaza and Gwenna about a movie being shot in the jungle near the Bogana village. (COMIC: The Phantom Ape)
Some time later he was on the river one night when Kaza was having trouble with the diamond smuggler van Horn. (COMIC: Up the River)
