The Talisman of Restriction was a disk the size of a large coin, appearing well lit even in dim lighting. It bore a conspicuous copyright symbol.
The talisman had a fourth wall straining feature; it would move away from un-copyrighted characters as if magnetically repelled. The Man in Gray had no trouble handling it, despite not being a copyrighted character; he was able to identify Jenny Over-There and Dynamite Thor as public domain characters when they could not touch it.
