Retsha sog-Wampyr was a Wellsian from the 97th Cosmos. He was one of the survivors of the invasion of Earth who fled to Venus, where they crashed, with the seven survivors including Retsha remained in hibernation for over a century.
When Mandragora-257 and Digger-291 unearthed the seven dormant Wellsians as part of Mandragora's Great Experiment, with an eye to using them as weapons, Retsha's body was secreted away by Digger, who was secretly a member of Dactylopius-177's rebellion. Having revived him at the same time that Mandragora finished his own ritual, Dactylopius and Digger took Retsha, now armed with a Heat Ray he had helped repair, to the communications room to confront Mandragora, Governor-105 and their own Wellsian, Mizrax ag-Ustis, who had been trying to stop the Department of Problem-Solving. In the ensuing standoff, Mandragora revealed his lack of loyalty to Governor-105 by ordering Mizrax to fatally shoot the Governor. However, when Mandragora and Dactylopius tried to order their respective Wellsians to shoot each other, the two refused, revealing that they themselves had only obeyed the Cupids' orders as long as it was convenient to them. They instead turned their weapons on Mandragora, and shot him, heedless of the fact that he had an explosive alchemical substance in his pockets. This caused an explosion which destroyed Morningstar 1 and the two Wellsians, though most of the Cupids made it out unharmed and the other five had already made it out of the 97th Cosmos by stealing the Department of Problem-Solving's first Fog Ship. (PROSE: The Resurrection of the Wellsians)
Sellane ag-Narra would go on to build a memorial to Mizrax and Retsha as “the Lost Ones” after the five survivors found themselves a new home. (PROSE: The Frost King's Treasure)
