The Triangular Society was a group of Clockwork Cherub, internal to the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids.
Nature
The group included Conquest-932, Larrikin-1029, Robespierre-1665, Gaius-816 and Conspiracy-1263, being made up of Cupids who wished to foment the overthrowing of the Cupid Parliament for various reasons. (PROSE: The Case Against Conspiracy) Conquest served as “Grandmaster”. He wore hooded robes to meetings, with the other members simply wearing hoods, and they used a simple triangle motif as their symbol. (COMIC: A Slight Misunderstanding) One Recorder Cupid once noted that most incidents relating to trouble-making or mischief within the Crew involved one or more members of the Society, though not always in their capacity as members of the Society. (PROSE: The Case Against Conspiracy)
History
After the Copper-Colored Council of Elders rejected his suggestions to make the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids' activities more warlike and aggressive, (PROSE: The Cupid Suggestion Box) Conquest decided to overthrow the established Cupid government by force, founding the Triangular Society. He called the first meeting, which comprised for other members, in a shed in the Homeworld. His attempts to strike a sinister, serious tone were hindered by one of the recruits being under the impression that this was a Halloween party and asking when they'd start bobbing for apples. (COMIC: A Slight Misunderstanding)
Some time later, while walking around the Cupid Homeworld, Pythagoras-858 spotted Conquest-932 sneaking around in his hooded black Triangular robes. Pythe stopped him on his authority as Prefect of the Department of Problem-Solving, reasoning that he certainly looked like a problem in the making. Conquest tried to claim that his robes were not an emblem of evil but merely a way to protect his identity, something Pythe instantly disproved by pointing out that with such a relatively low overall number of Cupids, everybody knew everybody else and Pythe was well aware that he was talking to Conquest.
