Plot
Wednesday Addams is walking in the woods near Nevermore Academy when she encounters a statue of an angel with its head in its hands. When she walks away from it, the statue moves. Wednesday backs into a tree, causing her to blink and the statue moves again, its hands reaching toward her. Suddenly frightened, Wednesday is at a loss as to how to escape the angel when she hears her teacher Ms Thornhill approaching. Wednesday warns her away, only to discover that the angel has vanished. She later sneaks into the Nightshades' library and reads about the creature she encountered: a Weeping Angel.

Behind the scenes
Background
The story was inspired by the fact that Jenna Ortega's Wednesday rarely blinks. It is set in between episodes 3 and 4 of the first season of Wednesday.
The author struggled to come up with a resolution before settling on the irony of Wednesday being saved by Thornhill, who was ultimately revealed as the villain of the series.
