In one universe, Phil, also known by his college nickname "Bigfoot", was a Sasquatch who worked as consultant on the Weekly Comet.
Phil joined the staff of the paper after walking three thousand miles to tell them that one of their articles about him was incorrect. Having learned English from D.B. Cooper, Phil was able to effortlessly communicate with humans, and was given a job as research consultant by Millard Detweiler.
