Mark XVIIIs were a new Mark of Clockwork Cherub which, in 2019, were scheduled for rollout “next summer”.
One Cupid had been given reason to believe that they would be even smaller and lither than the last few models, continuing the trend for Marks to decrease in size over time. (COMIC: Scaled-Up Soldier) They were still upcoming when the Cupid Suggestion Box was put in place, and Magnification-236 had heard the same rumours about their appearance. In a suggestion he put in the Box, he argued that the Parliament should scrap these plans and instead make the Mark XVIIIs building-sized, dramatically reversing the aforementioned trend. The Council immediately rejected the suggestion, recalling the trouble with the Mark XV prototype. (PROSE: The Cupid Suggestion Box)
