Shippy Shifter Snippets was an anthology fanfiction created by Ash Bland, begun on Jenny Everywhere Day 2022. As the title implied, each chapter was a 100-word-long drabble portraying a glimpse into a romantic and/or sexual relationship between versions of Jenny Everywhere, and copyrighted characters from various other media. Some, but by no means all, of these “snippets” included NSFW elements.

Plot
Chapter 1: Flirting With Death
Death of the Endless is walking around the mortal world, trying to “enjoy life”, when Jenny accosts her, making it clear that she knows who — what — Death is. Death is startled that a mortal has rumbled her, but Jenny pays it no mind and, instead, notes with interest how Death has gone barefoot, finding it grounding. She follows her example, and makes her own boots actually vanish with a snap of her fingers. Death is left asking just who Jenny is, to which the other woman answers with a flirtatious “Wanna find out?”.
Chapter 2: Two's A Crowd
The Eleventh Doctor walks back into his TARDIS's control room, only to find, much to his shock, that his companion Clara, and quite a lot of her identical echoes, are engaged in adult activities with an equal number of incarnations of Jenny Everywhere. The “main” Clara sheepishly explains, from her current compromising position in-between a Jenny and one of her own duplicates, that one version of Jenny arrived in the TARDIS looking for the Doctor, but, in his absence, got talking with Clara, with Clara's mention of having alternative selves of her own having led to the current situation. The first Jenny to arrive turns to the Doctor, whom she familiarly calls “Theta”, and casually suggests that he join the fun.
Chapter 3: Goodbyes
On the Infinity Train, the redeemed Grace Monroe has developed a close bond with a Denizen Jenny. The number on her palm that signifies how far she has to go before the Train sends her back to her home dimension has counted down to just one — and a forlorn Grace hesitates on whether to do what she has deduced she needs to do, as going home would mean leaving Jenny. Jenny encourages Grace to do what she must, explaining, much to Grace's confusion, that even though “she” can't leave the train, she will nevertheless be there for Grace wherever she goes. Grace gives in and admits the last truth she'd been burying: that she is in fact gay, and, indeed, has feelings for Jenny.
She is indeed sent back home, which entails “much paperwork”, as it's been years since she disappeared from the normal world. However, to her delight, the case worker she is assigned turns out to be this world's incarnation of Jenny, fulfilling the Train Jenny's promise.
Chapter 4: Devil's Curiosity
Jenny meets a version of Lucifer with the power to make everyone tell him their deepest desire. However, when he tries it on Jenny, he is surprised to get the overlapping, contradictory answers of all her incarnations. His curiosity sparked, much as Jenny's is by the magic trick itself, he suggests they have dinner in his penthouse to get to know each other better, and she acquiesces.
Chapter 5: Genie Everywhere
Aladdin has just freed the Genie, and the strange djinn-girl is excited to travel through the Multiverse again. However, she pauses, noting that she's going to miss Aladdin — and Jasmine too — seeming a bit jealous of them getting together. However, she surprises her human friends by offering them to come along on her multiversal journeys, implying that she hopes eventually to convince them to join a three-way romance with her once travel broadens their minds a little, although she would also be happy to just keep travelling with them as friends.
Worldbuilding
Jenny Everywhere
- Chapter 1 features a version of Jenny who wears boots and “silly rainbow socks”. Death of the Endless notes that she doesn't know who she is; as she knows all the natives of her universe, this implies that this Jenny is not native to the universe in which the chapter takes place.
- Chapter 2's events were precipitated by a Jenny who seems to know this universe's Doctor of old, referring to him as “Theta”. She is described as an “Asian girl”. She summons a number of other incarnations who share her basic physical appearance, although one is noted to have blue hair.
- Chapter 3 features a Jenny who is a Denizen of the Infinity Train, and, as a result, unable to leave the Train. However, she is still mentally connected to her other selves, including her counterpart in the “real” world connected to this version of the Train, who is a case worker.
- Chapter 4 features a Jenny who visits Lucifer's establishment and agrees to go on a date with him.
- Chapter 5 features a “Genie Everywhere” who took the part of the conventional Genie in the plot of Aladdin. She wears a golden scarf which, until she was freed, tethered her to her magic lamp.
Universes
- The chapters all take place in alternative versions of the universes of the relevant franchises.
- Chapter 1 takes place in a universe based on the Netflix Sandman TV series.
- Chapter 2 takes place in a variant of the Doctor Who universe.
- Chapter 3 takes place in a version of the Infinity Train universe. Notably, the pocket dimension constituted by the Infinity Train itself is shown to be enough of a distinct world to have a native Jenny distinct from the one from the corresponding Earth.
- Chapter 4 takes place in a version of the Lucifer universe.
- Chapter 5 takes place in a version of the universe of Disney's Aladdin.
Other
- Jenny compliments “Theta” on his bowtie, suggesting this is her first time interacting with this particular regeneration of the Doctor.
Continuity
- Versions of Jenny Everywhere met, or expressed knowledge of, versions of the Doctor in multiple other stories, including allusions or cameos in COMIC: The Late Shift, PROSE: Second Date and PROSE: The Grand Multiverse Hotel (the latter of which also mentioned the Eleventh Doctor) and the overt Doctor Who fanfic PROSE: Shifting (also released on Archive Of Our Own).
- Another incarnation of Jenny met another version of “Death of the Endless” in PROSE: Psychopomp, in less casual circumstances.
- Chapter 5 is called Genie Everywhere and features a djinn incarnation of Jenny. The same idea and pun were previously seen in PROSE: Paying It Forward by Scott Sanford.
